Conical Finished Product Silo

The Conical Finished Product Silo for the blending production line, manufactured by FANCHANG Machinery, adopts a large silo structure. It is a vertical cylindrical cone-bottom silo with capacities ranging from several tons to several hundred tons, ensuring sufficient buffering capacity for customers.

The conical bottom design is equipped with special discharge devices (such as rotating discharge valves, vibrating dischargeers), ensuring that the materials can flow smoothly and uniformly downward under the force of gravity, preventing bridging and arching; the inner walls of the silo are made of polished stainless steel, with an extremely low friction coefficient, preventing PVC particles (especially soft PVC) from adhering to the walls, ensuring that the materials are completely discharged and avoiding cross-contamination.

Our Conical Finished Product Silo is equipped with a rotating discharge valve and a silo wall vibrator, specifically addressing the fluidity problems such as "bridging" that may occur with PVC materials; it also has a ventilation system to remove any possible trace dust or monomer steam; all data is connected to the central control system for automated management.

Main Function

The Conical Finished Product Silo can balance the rate difference between the upstream and downstream processes. As an intermediate storage tank, the silo absorbs the continuous output from the upstream and supplies materials to the downstream line as needed, thus solving the problem of mismatched production rhythms.

To cope with production fluctuations, when the front-end equipment has a temporary failure, maintenance, or adjustment of the formula, the finished products stored in the silo can maintain the continuous operation of the downstream line, preventing the entire production line from stopping.

Eliminate batch differences. By storing multiple batches of materials in the same large silo and naturally mixing them during the discharging process, the product quality can be greatly homogenized, ensuring that the final factory products have highly consistent and stable performance. Some additives (such as lubricants, anti-flexibility modifiers) need a certain amount of time to fully diffuse and "settle", and the stay in the silo helps complete this physical process, enabling the product performance to reach the best state.
